During the more than one hundred years of the Ming Dynasty, although the Great Wall was built, most of the construction of the Great Wall was closed, the smokestacks were repaired and the broken ancient Great Wall was repaired. To Hongzhi years (after 1488), began a vast and comprehensive construction of the Great Wall. After 270 years of long years, a total of 18 large-scale construction projects have been completed and finally a high-wall was built up to the east of the Yalu River in Liaoning Province and to Blongji west of Jiayuguan in Gansu Province. This is what we usually say. The Great Wall can still be seen now. The Great Wall of China has a total length of over 14,600 li, passing through the seven provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in northern China. No matter from the level of engineering technology and fortification tightness, are unmatched by the previous Great Wall. In this sense, we can say: The Great Wall of China, which we see today, was built in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period and is linked to the period of the First Qin Emperor and is perfected in the Ming dynasty.
