一、香港工业的现状与特点 香港工业是在第二次世界大战之后,特别是近30年才迅速发展起来的。1947年,只有工厂972家,工人5.13万。到1987年9月,工厂数已达50409家,工人达87.53万。较1947年分别增加50.9倍与16.1倍。雇用人数占香港就业人口的35%,产值在生产总值中占22%左右。 香港地少人多,缺乏自然资源,但地理位置优越,港湾优良,交通方便,又是自由港。在世界经济中,属小岛型式,其工业具有下列特点:
I. The status and characteristics of Hong Kong’s industry Hong Kong’s industry developed rapidly after the Second World War, especially in the past 30 years. In 1947, there were only 972 factories and 51,300 workers. By September 1987, the number of factories had reached 50,409 and workers had reached 875,300. Compared with 1947, they increased 50.9 times and 16.1 times respectively. The number of people employed accounts for 35% of the employed population in Hong Kong, and the output value accounts for about 22% of the total GDP. Hong Kong has a small population and lacks natural resources. However, it has a superior geographical location, excellent harbors, and convenient transportation. It is also a free port. In the world economy, it is a small island type, and its industry has the following characteristics:
