为了降低视频编码标准H.264中分数像素运动搜索的运算量,提出一种分数像素运动搜索快速算法。该算法利用H.264中整数像素和分数像素运动矢量的特点,给出一组提前退出门限,能够跳过大部分分数像素搜索点;并结合钻石搜索法,进一步减少了搜索量。实验结果表明:采用该算法,分数像素搜索部分运算量平均下降77.45%,峰值信噪比降低0.03dB,码率增加2.38%。该算法显著降低了运动搜索的运算量,且较好地保持了编码性能,对背景基本不变的简单运动图像改善最为显著。
In order to reduce the computational complexity of fractional pixel motion search in video coding standard H.264, a fast fractional pixel motion search algorithm is proposed. This algorithm uses the characteristics of integer pixels and fractional pixel motion vectors in H.264 to give a set of early exit thresholds, which can skip most of the fractional pixel search points. In combination with the diamond search method, the search volume is further reduced. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the computational complexity of fractional pixel search by 77.45% on average, reduce the peak SNR by 0.03dB and increase the code rate by 2.38%. The proposed algorithm significantly reduces the computational complexity of motion search, preserves the coding performance well, and improves the simple moving image with the same background.
