In the first year of the main project (1999), the Three Gorges Project set a world record of 4.585 million m 3 for concrete and 55.35 million m 3 for the highest month. It is planned to pour 5.4 million m 3 in 2000. Judging from the progress, it is not a problem to accomplish this task. Achievements are the result of many factors, but adopting the most advanced construction equipment and first-rate construction management in the world is undoubtedly one of the most important factors. This article introduces the main construction equipment provided by the owners during the construction of the Three Gorges Project
