20世纪70年代初,台达电子集团(以下简称台达)创立于中国台湾,1992年,台达投资成立了子公司中达电通股份有限公司,迈出了在中国大陆发展的第一步。随后,台达在东莞建立了生产基地,并分别于1998年和1999年在天津、吴江设立工厂和研发、生产基地。目前,斥资11800万美元兴建的吴江基地已成为台达电子集团在中国大陆重要的研发与生产基地。十几年间,台达从单一产品生产商迅速发展为电源、工业自动化、电子零组件、视频和网络产品的全球主要供货商,在多项领域位居世界领先水平(开关电源与直流风扇产量位居世界第一)。台达在长江三角洲的中央地带——吴江建立的基地发展迅速,目前已有5个厂区,员工3万多人,年生产量相当可观,如此的发展速度和规模依托着怎样的硬件与软件设施,是什么使得台达的产品处于行业的前端,受到众多用户的青睐。烟花时节,“2008台达媒体见面会”在江苏吴江举行,这为本刊提供了近距离接触台达吴江基地的机会。
In the early 1970s, Delta Electronics (Delta) was founded in Taiwan of China. In 1992, Delta invested in the establishment of a subsidiary, Delta Electronics Co., Ltd., and took the first step in its development in Mainland China . Subsequently, Delta set up a production base in Dongguan and set up factories and R & D and production bases in Tianjin and Wujiang in 1998 and 1999 respectively. At present, the Wujiang base, which was invested by 118 million U.S. dollars, has become an important R & D and manufacturing base of Delta Electronics Group in mainland China. For more than a decade, Delta has grown rapidly from a single-product manufacturer to a leading global supplier of power supplies, industrial automation, electronic components, video and networking products, and is the world leader in various fields (switching power supply and DC fan production Ranking first in the world). Delta has a fast-growing base in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta - Wujiang. At present, there are 5 factories and more than 30,000 employees, and the annual production volume is considerable. What kind of hardware and software facilities are supported by such speed and scale of development? What makes Delta’s products at the forefront of the industry is favored by many users. Fireworks Festival, “2008 Delta Media Meeting” was held in Wujiang, Jiangsu Province, which provided an opportunity for this publication to contact Delta’s Wujiang base.
