通过DCC辅助的酯化反应,合成了一系列(共7种)新型液晶化合物,即4-(4-烷氧基苯基偶氮基)苯甲酸-3-氟-4-氰基苯基酯,其中“烷氧基”代表丁氧基、戊氧基、己氧基、庚氧基、辛氧基、壬氧基和癸氧基中的一种。通过红外光谱、核磁共振氢谱和元素分析确认了这些化合物的结构。用示差扫描量热(DSC)和偏光显微镜(POM)检测了这些化合物的液晶性质,发现7种化合物都是互变热致液晶化合物,在介晶范围内都呈现向列相;这些化合物的清亮点随着烷氧基中碳原子数目增加而下降。该系列中最高的清亮点可达264℃,最大介晶相范围可达156℃。该文报告工作的新颖性,已由青岛市科学技术信息研究所2009年2月18日出具的第200905321107号《科技查新报告》所证实。
A series of seven new compounds were synthesized by DCC-assisted esterification reaction, namely 4- (4-alkoxyphenylazo) benzoic acid-3-fluoro-4-cyanophenyl ester , Where “alkoxy” represents one of butoxy, pentoxy, hexyloxy, heptyloxy, octyloxy, nonyloxy and decyloxy. The structures of these compounds were confirmed by infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The liquid crystal properties of these compounds were examined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarized light microscopy (POM). All of the seven compounds were found to be thermotropic liquid-crystalline compounds, exhibiting nematic phase in the mesogenic range. The bright spot decreases as the number of carbon atoms in the alkoxy increases. The highest clearing point in this series is up to 264 ° C and the maximum mesophase range up to 156 ° C.
