秘书人员在其职能活动中需要具备影响和改变他人心理与行为的能力,特别是要对自己的服务对象——领导者形成有效作用,在此我们可称之为辅佐力.经验告诉人们,并非有了领导职位就有了领导力;同样,也并非有了秘书职位就有了辅佐力,其中间有着十分复杂的关系函数.一般说来,辅佐力是借助影响力而产生的.影响力包括强制性影响力(或称权力性影响力)和自热性影响力(或称非权力性影响力)两种基本类型.前者是由社会赋予个人的职务、地位、权力等构成的,以奖励,惩罚等为主要表现形式,其影响带有强制性和不可抗拒性;后者则建立在令人信赖的基础上,在行为上表现出明显的自愿性和主动性.秘书活动的特性决定了秘书的辅佐不可能是强制性影响力,而应隶属自然性影响力的范畴.它通常由以下要素构成:①品格因素.包括秘书的道德品质、动机体系、思想作用、人格状况、事业心、责任感等,这是一个秘书人员得到领导尊重、理解和信赖的前提条件.
