词汇是语言的三大要素(语音、词汇、语法)之一,是组成语言的基本材料,离开词汇就无法用语言表达思想。因而,词汇的掌握和应用是语言习得者提高英语语言技能的必备条件。大学英语词汇教学一般采用两种方法,即先讲解词汇再讲解课文或将词汇放入文章中进行讲解。作者采用课堂进步测试,对采用两种不同词汇教学方法的两班学生的词汇掌握情况进行测试,最终得出结论:先讲解词汇后讲解课文比将词汇放到课文中讲解对学生词汇的记忆和习得效果更好。
Vocabulary is one of the three major elements of language (speech, vocabulary, grammar), the basic material that makes up a language, and can not be expressed in words without words. Therefore, the mastery and application of vocabulary is a prerequisite for language learners to improve their English language skills. College English vocabulary teaching generally adopts two kinds of methods, namely explain the vocabulary first and then explain the text or put the vocabulary into the article to explain. The author uses the classroom progress test to test the vocabulary mastery of two classes of students who use two different vocabulary teaching methods. Finally, the conclusion is reached: first explain the vocabulary after explaining the text than the vocabulary into the text to explain the memory of the students vocabulary and Learning better.
