1980年首次报告,血管内皮与血管扩张有关。目前血管内皮单位作为血管平滑肌张力调节系统的证据正在增加。培养的内皮细胞亦能生成和分泌血管收缩物质。如内皮素(endothelin),一种21——残基肽,已从猪和人细胞中分离出。本文作者测定了尿毒症患者血浆内皮素水平。研究48例尿毒症患者,男35例,女13例,其中37接受血透1~168月(平均55.9月),每周2~8次。另取19例非胰岛素依赖型糖尿病患者(NIDDM)为非尿毒症对照组。患者均平卧休息30分钟后抽血,15例血透者在血透结束后也抽血,血标本立即与5mg EDTA及抑肽酶500μ/ml相混合,经离心分离血浆,贮于-20℃直至测定。应用放免法测定血浆内皮素水平,正常值<3.5Pg/ml。结果 19例对照组中16例<3.5Pg/ml,血透尿毒症患者5.4~35.4Pg/ml,平均12.3(5.5)Pg/ml,显著高于对照组(P<0.001)。而非透析尿毒症患者血浆内皮素水平则较低。研究发现,尿毒症各组患者血浆内皮素水平与血尿素氮、血浆
