野生冬虫夏草仅产于青藏高原海拔3000米以上高山地区,是中国传统珍稀名贵中药材,具有调节人体免疫功能,延缓和治疗多种疾病的独特功效,药用及保健价值极高,2012年市价最高已达40余万元/㎏,堪称“软黄金”。近年来由于大气变暖,生态退化,穷搜滥采造成产地植被严重破坏,野生冬虫夏草数量急剧减少,天然资源几近濒危,人为保护和繁育势在必行。
