Experience has shown that the camber of the girder of a bridge crane often decreases gradually during use and disappears. Then the main girder has a so-called negative arch or a residual deflection of 0.0035L (L - crane span). When the residual deflection exceeds this value, the crane can not be used and the crown must be fully or partially restored. This is a very heavy work.
