Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are brominated flame retardants widely used in consumer products. Because of their lipophilicity, persistence, long-range mobility and bioaccumulation, polybrominated diphenyl ethers are easy to accumulate in the environment and in human body and have a health hazard to human beings , Mainly liver toxicity, endocrine disrupting effect, reproductive toxicity, immunotoxicity and neurotoxicity. This article mainly reviews the research on the health effects of PBDEs both at home and abroad in recent years from the experimental research and population epidemiological survey.
