With the development of IT (information technology), small precision parts machining requires various small precision machining machines. Japan’s New Japan Machine Works and California’s CMS Corporation jointly develop precision small lathes and further expand their presence in Asia. At the Japan International Machine Tool Show held in Tokyo in October 2000 (20th JIMTOF), the new Japan Work Machine showed the precision small-sized lathes manufactured by the American CMS Corporation, and the amount of orders increased.
