为纪念联合国第四次世界妇女大会在北 京召开十周年,2005年8月24日国务院新闻 办公室发表《中国性别平等与妇女发展状况》 白皮书;8月28日第十届全国人民代表大会常 务委员会第十七次会议通过《全国人民代表 大会常务委员会关于修改<中华人民共和国 妇女权益保障法>的决定》,该决定自2005年12月1日起施行。为了更好 地了解10年间我国在妇女权益保障方面有哪些新进展,记者采访了全国人 大常委会副委员长,全国妇联主席顾秀莲。
In commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women held in Beijing, the State Council Information Office of the State Council released the White Paper on the Status of Gender Equality and Women’s Development in China on August 24, 2005; the 28th National People’s Congress Standing Committee on August 28th At the 17th meeting, the “Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress on Amending the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Protection of Rights and Interests of Women” was adopted. The decision was implemented on December 1, 2005. In order to better understand what new progress China has made in protecting women’s rights and interests in the past 10 years, the reporter interviewed Gu Xiulian, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and chairman of the National Women’s Federation.
