Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy is a new quantitative / qualitative method for the determination of crude oil components, especially for the determination of the components of mixed crude oil or pipe products. Compared with other commonly used analytical methods Such as gas chromatography, gas chromatography - mass spectrometry, gel permeation chromatography and liquid chromatography were analyzed and compared. By comparison, FT-IR spectroscopy has the advantages of simple analysis procedure, short time-consuming and accurate determination results (the maximum absolute error of the volume fraction of crude oil mixture is equal to or less than 2%), even if the oil mixture The difference in composition is quite small, and satisfactory results can still be obtained using this new method. The new FT-IR spectroscopy uses an IR spectral bandwidth between 3150 and 2750 cm-1 and provides an appreciable oil “fingerprint” of shape that directly correlates with the composition of the crude oil component. At the same time, the experimental verification of FT-IR spectroscopy by using different amounts of oil blends composed of condensate, volatile oil and black oil illustrates the effectiveness of FT-IR spectroscopy in determining the compositional characteristics of the mixed crude oil mixture.
