洪仁王干独特的经历和思想 ,鲜明而又集中地展示了太平天国农民战争的时代特点与发展趋向 ,而他在太平天国后期所提出的纲领和方案 ,也在相当程度上反映了 19世纪中叶中国与世界的发展趋势。虽然在洪仁王干的思想与纲领中也存在着问题 ,但他不愧为近代中国向西方寻求真理的农民阶级的代表。从洪仁王干这个人物切入课题 ,重新审视和剖析 19世纪中叶爆发的那一场历史巨变 ,也许可以解除太平天国农民战争史研究中一些令人困惑的思虑。
