数年以前,西安美院曾因设计专业的素描教学改革引起过一场不大不小的风波。当事者是一位很有见地的青年教师。由于他授课的素描作业不再是大家司空见惯的“学院派”样式,由于各种奇思怪想的包裹、皱纸片、旧鞋子等琳琅满壁,五花八门,尽管是细致入微地描写和刻划,但对那时的美院大多数教师来说,这个“怪胎”难以被接受。研讨会惊动了院领导,连同许多常年从事素描教学的老专家,几近于忿然声讨之。严格的素描造型训练同这种激发创造性思维的尝试,被不共戴天地对立起来。基础训练的严格性不能削弱,似乎已成为大家的“共识”。所以,这场全新意义上的工艺素描试验,也就随之宣告流产。
