钱基博(1887~1957),字子泉、子潜,号潜庐,江苏无锡人,是一代著作等身、学贯四部的国学大师。著名历史学家张舜徽称赞他:“学问的渊博,文章的雄奇,著述的宏富,举世皆知,足传不朽。”(张舜徽《学习钱子泉基博“学而不厌,诲人不倦”的精神》)钱基博的国学成就,得益于他毕生读书、教书、著书、爱书的嗜好。在他七十年的人生历程中,一直与图书馆关系密切,尤其与无锡图书馆有着特殊情缘。钱基博是无锡县立图书馆的创办人之一,曾撰写《无锡县图书馆碑记》,详细记述了无锡图书馆的创建缘由和有关
