以二乙烯苯等作单体并加入稀释剂悬浮共聚而成的高分子多孔小球(GDX)用作色谱固定相能使强极性化合物如醇、酸、酯、醛、脯、卤代烷、含氮氧化物及烯烃、芳烃等得到很好的分离。水的峰形陡而对称,同时保留值极小,一般仅大于甲烷或乙烷。这对测定有机及一些无机化合物中微量水分非常方便。此外,热稳定性较好,在长期使用中无流失现象,因此它也适用于工业及制备色谱。 GDX的选择性主要决定于化学组成,而孔径及其分布虽然不是主要的,但仍是一种重要的因素。关于高分子多孔小球的色谱分离机理究竟为吸附、分配或二者兼而有之,尚待进一步研究。
Polymeric porous beads (GDX) suspended with divinylbenzene as monomer and added with diluent can be used as chromatographic stationary phase to make strongly polar compounds such as alcohols, acids, esters, aldehydes, preservatives, alkyl halides, Nitrogen oxides and olefins, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc. are well separated. The water has a steep and symmetrical peak shape, with very little retained value, typically only larger than methane or ethane. This is very convenient for determination of trace amounts of water in organic and inorganic compounds. In addition, the thermal stability is good, no loss in the long-term use, so it is also suitable for industrial and preparative chromatography. The selectivity of GDX depends mainly on the chemical composition, and the pore size and its distribution, though not main, are still an important factor. Whether the chromatographic separation mechanism of polymer porous beads as adsorption, distribution or both has yet to be further studied.
