1921年9月27日,浙江萧山衙前农民协会的成立,不仅是中国2000多年农民运动史上具有划时代意义的事件,而且是中国共产党成立后第一件关乎农民利益的大事。其对中国共产党领导新民主主义革命,直至取得胜利,具有重大的历史意义。当前,在中国社会转型,以及急剧推进的城市化进程中,特别是30多年的改革开放中,中国农民作出了巨大的贡献和牺牲,但是与他们得到的利益存在差距,各种损农事件时有发生。为了维护农民的权益,有必要成立在中国共产党领导下的农民协会。
