First, price and market competition Market economy objectively requires that competitive prices of goods and services be liberalized in order to facilitate the development of markets and fair competition, and to form prices in market competition, and to exert its basic role in resource allocation. The enterprise is the main body of market competition in the market economy. Price is the main means of enterprise competition and an important decision variable. Because the market structure has different types, the pricing models of companies in different market structures are different. Fully competitive companies are price receivers rather than control and regulators, while monopolistic competition industries are not.
