在辽宁省抚顺市区东郊坐落着民国枭雄、“东北王”张作霖的空茔——元帅林。1928年,由于日本关东军的蓄意谋杀,张作霖乘坐的火车在沈阳皇姑屯发生爆炸,结束了张作霖传奇的一生。张作霖死后,其子张学良为他修建了这座宏伟的陵园。元帅林的修建及命名他曾是马家房村穷苦的小疙瘩(张作霖小名),他曾是甲午战争中为国从戎的无名小卒,他曾是乱世中投身绿林的勇士,他曾是助力清廷消除蒙患、扫平流匪,维护国家统一的奉天督军,他曾一度入主北平成为中华民国的实际统治者,他就是名副其实的“东北王”——张作霖。
