中国加入《华盛顿协议》与制定工程教育认证标准对大学外语教育具有重要的启示意义。本文分析了工程教育认证标准中与外语相关的部分,提出在工程教育认证标准背景下从建设外语教育中心、改革教学内容、完善多语种教育、协助双语教学、服务于未来职业发展等五方面开展大学外语教育。文章认为大学外语教改的当务之急是实现将“外语教育”而非“外语教学”置于首位的战略大转移。
China’s accession to the “Washington Accord” and the establishment of engineering education certification standards are of great significance to the foreign language education in universities. This paper analyzes the related parts of foreign language in the standard of engineering education certification, and puts forward that it should be carried out from the aspects of establishing foreign language education center, reforming teaching contents, improving multilingual education, assisting bilingual teaching and serving future career development under the background of engineering education certification standard University foreign language education. The article argues that the immediate task of foreign language teaching reform in universities is to realize the strategic transfer of “foreign language education” instead of “foreign language teaching” in the first place.
