The authors describe the loss associated with monolayer film scattering using the relative scattering coefficient σ = σ / σ. Where σ is the scattering coefficient of the monolayer film and σ is the scattering coefficient of the substrate. The surface scattering component was evaluated on the basis of the relative scattering coefficient of a single-layer film covered with a thin aluminum layer of about 0.1 μ thick. In the same coating process, coated on all substrates of this high-reflective film, can faithfully reflect the surface conditions, and eliminate the impact of volume scattering.
