【世界核新闻网站2016年3月15日报道】南非国家电力公司(Eskom)近日向南非核监管局(NNR)提交在东开普省Thyspunt和西开普省Duynefontein建设核电厂的厂址申请。两份申请均提及该公司准备在厂址上建设和运营多台核电机组及相关配套设施,但拟采用的反应堆堆型尚未确定。2015年12月,南非能源部获得内阁批准,可以发布9600 MWe核电建设计划招标书(详见本刊2016年第1期相关报道)。
[World Nuclear News Web site March 15, 2016] South African state power company (Eskom) recently submitted to the South African Nuclear Regulatory Agency (NNR) applications for construction of nuclear power plants in Thyspunt, Eastern Cape and Duynefontein, Western Cape. Both applications mentioned that the company is planning to build and operate multiple nuclear power plants and related facilities on the site, but the type of reactor to be adopted has not yet been determined. In December 2015, South Africa’s Ministry of Energy received cabinet approval to issue a tender for the 9600MWe nuclear power plant construction project (for details, see our issue No. 1, 2016).
