西山煤矿安全监察办事处于2000年11月30日正式挂牌成立,辖区内共有各类煤矿456对,其中国有重点煤矿15对,地方国有煤矿41对,乡镇煤矿383对,基建矿井17对,矿井大多分布在太原市10个县(市、区)的山区,距办事处所处位置最远的矿井为110公里。办事处自组建以来,在上级党组的正确领导下,在地方人民政府的支持下,认真贯彻落实“安全第一、预防为主”的方针,坚持一手抓执法监察,一手抓党风廉政建设,开展了以下大量扎实有效的工作。
