在组合机床上进行镗削加工的时候,如果一根镗杆上的几把刀同时加工几个直径相同的同心孔,镗杆引入时需要让刀;或者要求已加工表面不许有退刀痕,以及镗孔直径大于导套直径而镗刀又须从导套中穿过等情况下,都要求主轴所带动的镗刀在每一工作循环结束后,准确地停止在规定的角度位置上,然后才能使镗刀退出或引进。主轴定位装置就是为满足这类工艺要求而提出的。目前,实现这一要求有不少方案。概括起来,这些方案的不同之处在于通过什么方法使主轴在定位时获得必要的低转速和用什么方法发出定位后的信号。
