明清小说家以金银变化母题炮制了大量幸运故事，执著地希望通过人为努力发迹变泰，他们对于旧有母题，或进行拓展，或果断摒弃。明清小说中金银变化母题的繁盛，离不开银本位的货币制度。明清小说中金银变化母题的兴盛，体现并密切了神秘思维与艺术思维的关系，反映了经济需要和神秘想像的刺激，并对审美创造产生了一定的影响。
Ming and Qing novelists concocted a great deal of lucky stories based on the motif of gold and silver. They persistently hoped that through artificial endeavors, they would become more fortunate or change their old motives or expand or decisively abandon them. The flourishing motif of gold and silver in Ming and Qing novels can not be separated from the monetary system of silver standard. The flourishing motif of gold and silver in Ming and Qing novels reflects and closely relates the relationship between mystical thinking and artistic thinking, reflects the stimulus of economic needs and mystical imagination, and has an impact on aesthetic creation.
