垂体前叶分泌的促性腺激素有卵泡刺激素(FSH)和黄体生成素(LH),其中 LH的分泌已清楚是通过下丘脑神经细胞脉冲式分泌的黄体生成素释放激素(LHRH)调节的。用已由松尾、有村和 Schally 等确定化学结构的 LHRH 刺激垂体前叶时,不仅是 LH,还大量释放出 FSH。因此有村以及Schally 等提出了垂体前叶的 FSH 释放是由LHRH 调节的一元论,并成为当今世界的定论。可是,在 LHRH 化学结构决定之后不久,作者提出了垂体前叶分泌 FSH 除了接受 LHRH 的刺激外,同时也接受化学结构与 LHRH 不同的卵泡刺激素释放激素
Gonadotropins secreted in the anterior pituitary are follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), of which secretion of LH is clearly regulated by the pulsatile secretion of luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (LHRH) by hypothalamic neurons. When stimulating the anterior pituitary gland with LHRH, which has been identified by Matsuo, Uemura and Schally et al., Not only LH but also a large amount of FSH is released. Therefore, the village and Schally et al proposed that the release of FSH in the anterior pituitary gland is a monism adjusted by LHRH and has become the conclusion of the present world. However, shortly after the LHRH chemical structure was decided, the authors proposed that FSH secreted by the anterior pituitary gland, in addition to being stimulated by LHRH, also accepts follicle stimulating hormone releasing hormone with a different chemical structure from that of LHRH
