各位学部委员、各位来宾、各位同志: 中国科学院学部成立大会现在宣布开幕。从今天起,中国科学院的四个学部——物理学数学化学部、生物学地学部、技术科学部、哲学社会科学部便正式成立了。这次大会的主要任务是听取关於中国科学院工作的报告,并结合着中国科学院的五年计划纲要加以讨论,研究如何改进科学院的工作以推动全国科学事业发展的办法。会议的意义是很重大的。我谨代表大会主席团预祝这次会议获得光辉的成就,预祝各学部工作胜利展开,并向应邀出席的苏联科学院代表团、波兰科学院代表团等外
Dear members, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, The founding assembly of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is now announced. Starting from today, the four faculties of the Chinese Academy of Sciences - the Department of Mathematical Chemistry of Physics, the Department of Biology, the Department of Technical Science and the Department of Philosophy and Social Science were formally established. The main task of this conference is to listen to the report on the work of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and to discuss it with the outline of the five-year plan of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and to study ways to improve the work of the Academy to promote the development of science in the entire country. The significance of the meeting is very significant. On behalf of the presidium of the General Assembly, I hereby give my best wishes for the brilliant achievements of this meeting. I wish all the academic departments work victoriously and extend their wishes to the delegations of the Soviet Academy of Sciences and the Polish Academy of Sciences who are invited to attend
