This article points out the significance and necessity of the use of directional transmit antennas by television stations on certain occasions. The relationship between the basic technical requirements of the directional transmitting antenna and the main technical indicators is discussed in detail as the basis for antenna selection and design. Finally, a calculation program of determining technical indicators according to technical requirements is also given. For the planning of television networks, television stations and television transmit antenna design of the relevant departments for reference.
