From January 2002 to December 2004, the academic community published nearly 600 monographs, textbooks and dictionaries of national history, and published more than 980 academic papers. Among them, there are more than 480 articles on politics, more than 280 articles on economics, more than 100 articles on culture, more than 70 articles on diplomacy, more than 20 articles on military affairs and over 30 articles on other aspects. The year 2004 marks the 55th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, setting off the culmination of scholars’ studies of the history of the nation and publishing a large number of books.
