今天的城市、乡村、建筑,迫切地需要逆向的思维与行走。之所以有这样的看法,是看到现代主义的方法全然无法命中目前和未来问题的核心;设计封闭在原本的游戏规则中,脱离现实,无视外部的世界。未来的都市和建筑,需要面对现实开放,深植于大地与社群,做出对人、自然、文化都温柔的建筑。我的理念和实践,概括地讲,是两头开始、两腿走路的可持续之道。这一头,是城市里那些庞大的都更计划,动辄就牵涉整个街区;那一头,是在地域广阔的乡下,组织微型的社
Today’s cities, villages and buildings urgently need backward thinking and walking. The reason why this view is that modernism can not completely hit the core of present and future problems is that design is enclosed in the original rules of the game and is out of touch with reality and ignoring the outside world. Future cities and buildings need to be open to the realities, deeply rooted in the earth and communities, and make buildings that are gentle to people, nature and culture. My philosophy and practice, in a nutshell, is the sustainable way to start with both ends and walk with both legs. At this end, those huge cities in the city are more planned and frequently involve the entire neighborhood. At that end, in the vast area of the countryside, we organize miniature clubs
