国内办厂还是国外办厂中国的优势在于丰富廉价的劳动力资源。凡是劳动密集型产业和产品,应该尽可能利用这一优势,因而应该尽可能把工厂建在国内。但一个企业到底将工厂办在国内还是办在国外,还要考虑两个因素:一是产品的运输成本,二是市场的进入成本。许多产品都有一个合理的运输半径。比如,水泥制品的合理运输半径为300公里,化肥的合理运输半径为500公里。超过合理的运输半径因运输成本上升,产品就缺乏竞争优势。这时,在空间上的选择应该是销地产,即就地办厂,就地销售。在企业是否走出去办厂的问题上,首先应该考虑的就是产品合理的运输半径问题。
