吴吉昌是一个普普通通的农民,在科学上具有一种顽强的探索精神。他在植棉技术上先后探索创造了“冷床育苗”“芽苗移栽”等九项科研成果,《人民日报》曾发表过社论,推广他的经验。由于他对祖国的贡献,毛主席和周总理曾多次接见过他。为了完成党交给他的庄严使命,在迫害面前,他不屈服,在挫折面前,他不灰心。他在经历一次又一次打击之后,倒下去爬起来,永远是“啥也别想挡住俺”这么一句话。如今,吴吉昌虽然不在了,但他那种为了真理、为了祖国的科学事业、为了党和人民的重托‘啥也别想挡住俺’的革命精神,永远教育和鼓舞着后人披荆斩棘。
Wu Jichang is an ordinary farmer, who has a tenacious spirit of exploration in science. He has successively explored and created nine scientific achievements such as “cold bed nursery” and “seedling transplanting” in the cotton planting technology. The People’s Daily published editorials to promote his experience. Because of his contribution to the motherland, Chairman Mao and Premier Chou have interviewed him on many occasions. In order to accomplish the solemn mission entrusted to him by the party, he did not give in before the persecution, and he was not discouraged in the face of setbacks. After going through a series of attacks, he fell down and climbed up, always saying, “Do not stop me!” Now, although Wu Jichang is gone, his kind of revolutionary spirit for the truth, for the scientific cause of the motherland, for the trust of the party and the people and for the sake of blocking me forever will forever educate and inspire future generations to climbers.
