由北京大学历史系中外关系史研究所主办的中外关系史国际学术讨论会,于2000年9月11日在北京大学隆重举行。会议由北京大学中外关系史研究所所长王晓秋教授主持,北京大学校长助理、国际合作部部长郝平教授,北京大学社会科学部部长程郁缀教授出席会议并讲话。这次会议的主题是近代的中外关系史,特别是国际学术界对近代中外关系史研究的成果和动向,来自法国、日本、波兰、澳大利亚、美国五个国家的八位外国著名学者和北京大学的两位学者在会上作了精彩的学术报告。与会者围绕着近代留学、全球一体化、中国的近代化、中国人的世界观等问题进行了深入的探讨。 The International Symposium on the History of Sino-Foreign Relations hosted by the Institute of History of Sino-Foreign Relations of Peking University was held on September 11, 2000 at Peking University. The meeting was chaired by Professor Wang Xiaoqiu, director of the Institute of History of Sino-Foreign Relations at Peking University. Professor Hao Ping, Assistant to President of Peking University, Minister of International Cooperation and Professor Cheng Yu-hua, Peking University’s Minister of Social Sciences, attended the meeting and made speeches. The theme of this conference is the history of modern Sino-foreign relations. In particular, the achievements and trends of the international academic community in the study of the history of modern Sino-foreign relations include eight famous foreign scholars from France, Japan, Poland, Australia and the United States and Peking University Two scholars made wonderful academic report at the meeting. The attendees conducted in-depth discussions around such issues as studying abroad in modern times, global integration, China’s modernization and the Chinese world outlook.
