在一般滾齒机使用差動裝置時,大都用到下列二个計算差動掛輪的公式: A_2/D_2=K_1·sinα/M…………(1) A_2/D_2=K_2·ΔT/B……………(2)式中:A_2/D_2—差动掛輪齒數比 M——齒輪法綫模數 α——螺角ΔT——差动值(即差動牙數) B——走刀量 K_1——差動角度係數 K_2——差动齒數係數 公式(1)是滾製螺旋齒輪時所用的;式(2)用於滾製差动單牙。这些在其他書籍裹都有更詳細的说明。伹一般舊式滾齒机的K_1或K_2有时可能缺少一个,且没有說明書可以查考,这裹把它们的互換方法介紹出来,以供大家参考。
