1.取硬质玻璃大试管一支,自己弯制一个带尖咀的V形玻璃导管。 2.选择表面闪亮的松脆煤块,烘干后粉碎,再研成粉末装入大试管中。 3.干馏需较高的温度,用酒精喷灯效果较佳。加热两分钟左右,即可点燃煤气,火焰明亮,可以持续一分钟以上。如果没有酒精喷灯,也可以用普遍酒精灯。取下酒精灯原来的灯芯套管,换一段口径较粗的瓷管,把几条灯芯拧在一起穿入瓷管。用这种改制的酒精灯进行实验,效果也比较好,加热约五分钟,煤气就大量产生,点燃时火焰也能持续半分钟左右。在V形管弯曲处能够看到褐色油状液体,冷却后倒出试管中的固体可以看到多孔的焦炭。
