This article discusses the establishment of simple equivalent dynamic models of satellite components and their subsystems. This model is constructed using an equivalent one-degree-of-freedom system derived with effective dynamic modal quality. It is useful for theoretical research and experimental research. This article will discuss in detail the typical Apple satellite, which is part of the multi-satellite payload launched by Ariane L03. In this case, the Meteosat satellite is replaced by its simple equivalent dynamic model and Apple’s characteristics are evaluated against the parameters of the overall structural system undergoing dynamic harmonic excitation at the bottom. Some problems have also been studied in the physical characterization of structural subsystems by using simple equivalent dynamic models composed of spring-mass system or top-loaded cantilever beams in dynamic qualification tests. In this paper, the equations of equivalent dynamic modal mass of spring-mass system and top-loaded cantilever beams are taken into account their own non-uniform mass distribution. The effect of the mass of these simple components on the effective dynamic mode quality of the component is studied.
