据国家化工行业生产力促进中心钛白分中心统计,2013年全国钛白粉总产量首次突破2×106t,达到2.155×106t,同比增14%。2013年全国钛白粉行业的显著特点是两降一增。其中金红石型为1.42×106t,占钛白粉总产量的65.9%,比上年下降4%;锐钛型为5.14×105t,占钛白粉总产量的23.9%,比上年下降0.9%;非颜料级和特种钛白为2.209×105t,占钛白粉总产量的10.3%,比上年增加5%。钛白分中心表示,2013年钛白粉产品结构变化是高档次产品比例下降,低档次产品比例上升,但整个钛白粉产品总量还是上升明显,市场竞争激烈。主要原因是由于国家环保产业政策越来越严格,火电厂脱硝项目在当年推进较快,使得脱硝钛白市场呈现需求放大,业内也纷纷调整产品结构,
