本文主要探讨在直立式防波堤设计中的下列七个问题:1. 浅水坦波的立波作用力;2. 堤身缝隙中的波浪浮托力;3. 斜向波的作用力;4. 不规则波的波浪力;5. 削角直立堤的合理断面设计;6. 堤前护底宽度的确定;7. 堤头的稳定性问题.其中1、5、7三个问题主要是根据工程设计的经验而提出;2、3两个问题是国内外有关研究成果的综合,并经国内工程资料的验证;问题4是理论分析成果;而问题6只是一个初步建议.除问题4的结果与交通部港口工程技术规范《海港水文》中的规定一致以外,1、3、5、7四个问题的内容,在《海港水文》和《防波堤》两册规范中,或者是没有述及,或者是未作明确规定;而2、6两个问题,则是试图对《防波堤》规范中的有关规定作进一步改进.
