“To Know about Chinese Culture through Museums” Book Series: Co-publishing Agreement Reached between

  The Xanadu?Publishing?Ltd. under the Phoenix Publishing & Media, INC. held an unveiling ceremony on April 15th, the same day when the 2013 London Book Fair held its opening ceremony in the Earls Court. In the meantime, this company announced that it had reached an agreement with the Scala Publishing House in the U.K. on the co-publishing of 50 volumes of series books named “To Know about Chinese Culture through Museums”, reported by Li Wenyun from .people.com.cn on April 15th in London.
  Xiang Xiaowei, Minister and Counselor of the Cultural Section of Chinese Embassy in Britain, attended the unveiling ceremony and delivered a speech, in which he expressed his congratulation on the founding of Xanadu?Publishing?Ltd.
  It is said that the newly-established Xanadu?Publishing?Ltd. will focus its business on the publication of English books in the U.K, with Chinese literature, arts and so forth as its main subjects, through which Xanadu hopes to share Chinese culture with the world through a series of world-class publications. This series books on museums co-published by the Phoenix Media and the Scala Publishing House was born from the inspiration of the “To Know World History through 100 Historical Relics” exhibition held by the British Museum. It has selected the collections from some major museums in China and made a in-depth organization of the historical and cultural information of China carried by these relics, especially the details in the life style of Chinese people from a perspective and way which are easily acceptable by western readers in order to enhance the understanding of the western society on Chinese culture.
  Li Xue, Vice-president of Phoenix Media said that it was his hope that one say Phoenix will become of the top publishing groups in the world and a backbone in the cultural world of the international community.
