犯罪小说是通俗小说的一个重要分支,在西方文学领域始于19世纪初期,并于20世纪后半期在英国达到巅峰。犯罪小说包括若干文学类型,在英国的盛行主要体现在以下三个类型:历史侦探小说、警察程序小说、新间谍小说。本文从这三种类型研究英国犯罪小说在20世纪后半期的发展,对研究通俗小说在西方国家的地位具有一定作用。 Crime novels are an important branch of popular novels, beginning in the early 19th century in the field of western literature and reaching its peak in Britain in the latter half of the 20th century. Crime novels include a number of literary genres. The prevalence in Britain is mainly reflected in the following three types: historical detective novels, police procedural novels and new espionage novels. This article studies the development of British crime novels in the latter half of the 20th century from these three types and plays a certain role in studying the status of popular novels in western countries.
