利用“两点间距离公式”能解决许多平面内数学问题,如解决数轴上任意两点之间的距离,或者利用“两点间距离公式”求一个点所表示的数;还可以求出平面直角坐标系中任意两点间的距离。同时,利用公式还可以解决平面直角坐标系中直角三角形、等腰三角形等特殊图形的点的坐标问题。利用公式解决这些问题时就不需要借助图形,而是直接套用公式,这样在解题时既节省时间,也不会出现漏解问题。
