The Soviet Union’s Great Patriotic War took place between 1941 and 1945, during which more than 20 million Soviets lost their lives in this arduous anti-fascist struggle. At that time, the writers and poets of the Soviet Union went to the battlefield one after another, witnessing the misery and tragedy brought by the war to human beings in the front line of the battle, and wrote a large amount of writing which most truly reflected the unyielding spirit and tough qualities of the soldiers. Some of them also personally Participate in many fierce battles. This article divides two parts from the author’s experience to explore the history of the Soviet Patriotic war literature and its artistic features. The Soviet literature was the best record carrier of the Great Patriotic War. The war was one of the most important literary themes at that time. The cruelty of war and the fragility of life were all three-dimensionally presented in the works.
