2008年6月2日,在北京市房山区琉璃河镇杨户屯村一片13.3公顷的麦田边,北京市农业局粮经处处长刘刚向前来参加“农业部跨越计划项目‘中麦175’观摩会”的嘉宾宣布,该片试验田小麦“中麦175”经过专家现场测产,667米2产达到586.8千克。对此结果,参加观摩活动的中国小麦品质育种家庄巧生院士等专家表示满意。
