The dynamic flow corridor is one of the concepts of “trajectory-based operation” in the next-generation air transport system in the United States to increase airspace capacity for high-density traffic flow and autonomous separation. The article introduces a new concept - Traffic Corridor Based Traffic Management Initiative (FCTMI). FC-TMI uses a dynamic traffic corridor as a new Traffic Management Initiative (TMI) to address demand and capacity imbalances. Traffic corridors can be used around the clock and need to be redesigned at regular intervals to accommodate traffic conditions such as large meteorological disasters. The article uses different flight modes and meteorological conditions to conduct a national airspace system-wide simulation to assess the capabilities of FC-TMI. The data shows that delays have been significantly reduced using only a small number of flow corridors. The study of this method has some reference to the implementation of China’s traffic flow management measures.
