经脉运行之穴位,是指某个时辰经脉运行所到之部位,比如子时经脉运行所到之部位是“窍阴穴”;未到子时之前,经脉仍在运行中,只是未到窍阴穴而已。过了子时后,经脉已越过窍阴穴而运行到别个穴位,如此循环不息每日运生人身十二大穴。经脉即使未到穴位而在其一定的路线运行时,如果被人点伤,也是属于点穴,不过所点的不是十二大穴,而是其他小穴而已。明乎此,便知道点穴功夫,不一定要点正十二大穴,即使点正其他小穴,亦能致使人于死亡或重伤残废,问题是在于点穴之人用的是重手或轻手而已,重手则是直接闭塞穴道,使经脉不能通过而死;轻手却梗塞穴道,使经脉难于通过,致令伤者感到剧烈痛苦而残废。
