李抱忱先生,河北保定人。一生致力于音乐与语言教学,早年毕业于燕京大学,曾获美国柏林音乐院音乐教育学士、硕士学位,美国哥伦比亚大学音乐教育博士学位。曾任重庆青木关音乐院教务长、育英学校教师、美国耶鲁大学中文讲师,美国国防语言学院华语系主任,爱我华大学中文及远东研究主任,生前曾出版“李抱忱歌曲第一、二集”、“合唱指挥”、“唱中国歌”、“炉边闲话”……等等。1979年因心脏病逝世。——编者。中国语言里有四声。平常说话的时候“高扬起降”地自成一个语言旋律。这是中国语言的特色,欧美语
Mr. Li Baochen, Baoding, Hebei. He devoted himself to music and language teaching all his life. He graduated from Yenching University in his early years.
