二十世纪八十年代末九十年代初发生在波罗的海三国的民族独立运动震惊世界。其原因是复杂的 ,既有历史方面的 ,又有现实方面的 ;既存在国内因素 ,也存在国际因素。从历史角度上看 ,波罗的海地区三个民族与俄罗斯文化宗教上的格格不入 ,三国人民反抗外来统治的优良传统 ,对独立时期取得的成就的美好回忆以及对共产主义思潮和运动的清洗带来的三国人民对共产主义的不够信任和 1939年《苏德互不侵犯条约》及其秘密协定所激起的民愤 ,都起到了重要的作用
The national independence movement in the Baltic states in the late 1980s and early 1990s shocked the world.
